scope of the Journal

This journal is a double blind peer-reviewed annually published journal dedicated to disseminating current knowledge, ideas, and methodologies. It is aimed for both criminal justice practitioners and academics. The journal is concerned with all facets of the criminal justice system in relation to one another. Although materials relevant to policing, crime and specific aspects of the criminal justice system are offered, the goal of the Journal is to tie these elements together and demonstrate the impact of their interactions. The journal's primary goal is to promote the multidisciplinary, international exchange of knowledge and research. This is done by encouraging discourse, debate, and collaboration between academic research and practice in the criminal justice system. The editorial board, which represents a variety of applied research in the related domain of police and criminal justice, facilitates this breadth of disciplinary.

Articles demonstrating the use of innovative disciplines or analytical approaches to criminal justice problems are particularly appealing. The Journal emphasizes innovation and creative thought of the highest quality because its objective is to provide a venue for the transmission of new ideas, new information, and the application of innovative ways to the issues and functions of the police in particular and criminal justice system in general.

Original empirical investigations, conceptual pieces, theoretical reviews, and articles on practice application and assessment are all published in the journal. The journal management encourages and promotes practitioners' and academics' submissions to improve knowledge and standards of practice in the police, development, and justice-related fields.

As previously stated, the Journal of Police Science, Justice, and Development(JPSJD) publishes original research, review articles, brief reports, short reviews, short communication, case studies, field studies, opinions or suggestions, and letters to the editor. Original article, review article, short review, brief report, and short communication are described in the journal as follows:

  1. Original/Research Article:Articles including novel findings and original research findings, research methodology, research materials, and interpretations of the authors' own or other research findings, as well as articles of a similar type.
  2. Review Article: Review articles should be balanced with objective appraisals of current research subjects, summaries of important scientific literature, and discussions that are easy to understand for any discipline's audience. Review articles should give the authors' perspectives on future prospects as well as their assessment of the significant difficulties confronting scholars in the subject.
  3. Short Review: JPSJD provides brief reviews or mini-reviews for researchers who want to highlight a topic of scientific research and distribute their findings as broadly as possible. Short review papers provide an overview of the major developments on a specific issue, with an emphasis on the latest developments. They also provide a forecast for future developments.
  4. Brief Report:Articles containing just original data and following the same format as the Original Article.
  5. Short Communication: Short communications are the ones that should present the most significant findings in brief form.
